"no roosters allowed"

Roosters Rest  Cabin 1

Seven years ago we decided to leave the busy California hustle and bustle and return to our roots to enjoy a more peaceful life.  Even before building our home, our 20 acres of rolling pasture land and our two ponds became our refuge for peace and relaxation.  We camped, had picnics, fished and just enjoyed nature.  Two years ago we finally built our home on this acreage.

Then one night while listening to the sounds of nature we decided it would be great to share a little bit of our world with folks who were looking for a quiet getaway, thus Roosters Rest was born.  We purposely designed things the simple way.  We remembered many times we returned from our "getaways" more tired than before we left.  We noticed we had developed the same patterns when spending the night out; first we would rush to town to buy food for the grill, then head to wood storage to buy wood to build an outside fire.  However, by the time the fire was built it was time to rush back inside to use the hot tub, only to head back out to bring wood inside to burn in the fireplace.  After all this "rest", off to bed we would go . . . . exhausted.  But we were paying for these amenities "and we had to make sure we used them all" .

So when we built Roosters Rest our goal was to make it relaxing and to keep things simple. Our guests say we have accomplished this, so we invite you to come and visit.  Take a walk, sit on the porch, remember how to laugh and remember how to love. We believe "no distractions included" will give you more time....for what time away is really for.

This cozy cabin sleeps two, with most of the modern amenities of home.

Electric fireplace, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker

toaster, TV, DVD, VCR, gas grill, hair dryer
